Early US Space Pioneers

This set features all 3 early American spacecraft – Mercury, Gemini and the Apollo CSM in 1/48 scale.

Mercury features its distinct shingle detail, silver-soldered brass escape tower, and full detailed retro pack cables and straps. Gemini highlights include full shingle, nose thruster detail and even come with the gold Mylar insulation wrap at the aft end of the equipment module. The Block II Apollo spacecraft comes molded in industrial plastic, and is well detailed using drawings and information we’ve accumulated over the years. All three models are mounted on a black lacquered wooden base along with the 3 project emblems for the different manned programs of Mercury, Gemini and Apollo.

Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle 1/14 scale – ONE ONLY

This model measures almost 4 ½ feet across its solar panels and stands a total of 62 inches high on its aluminum pedestal. Spacecraft and panels measure 15 inches in diameter and spacecraft is almost 20 inches in length.

Built from official NASA information by Proach Models this model is made from various types of plastics and resin-cast parts.  This model features full thruster detail on both the crew and service modules, moveable and steerable High Gain Antenna, rotating and removable solar panels, gold foil insulation blankets, full detailed solar panels and frame assembly, metal display stand with in-scale astronaut figure., reusable shipping crate with butterfly latches and padlock.

There were only 3 of these built and NASA owns the other 2!
