Voshkod 1:48 Scale
Voshkod 2 was launched into space by the Russians on March 18, 1965 with cosmonauts Pavel Belyayev and Alexi Leonov on board. Their mission: to complete humanity's first space walk.
Shortly after achieving orbit Belyayev inflated the airlock. Leonov then closed his visor and crawled into the airlock where he opened the hatch and floated out into space until he reached the end of his 5 meter umbilical cord. He was the first person ever to experience the vastness of space first hand.
This highly detailed Voshkod 2 is a fitting tribute in celebrating 50 years of human spaceflight.
