The International Space Station in Orbit

International Space Station in Orbit

This is an older picture of the International Space Station in orbit over the Earth. As you can see, the ISS doesn’t have all of its Solar Array Wings yet.

I love this picture so much because of the perspective. Just imagine what the view must be like for the astronauts inside the International Space Station as they look down on the planet below.

They complete 16 orbits every 24 hours, which means they see 16 sunrises and 16 sunsets every day.

It must truly be breathtaking.
