This Week - Vulcon 32

We're all set and ready to go to the annual event known as Vulcon, which is basically a Star Trek convention which happens every year in the small town of Vulcan, Alberta.

Vulcon usually features 2 celebrities from one or more of the Star Trek episodes, and this year they welcome Tanya Lemani and Tawny Newsome.

Tanya was the Argelian belly dancer who played in the original Star Trek episode "Wolf in the Fold", and Tanya Newsome voices Ensign Beckett Mariner on the animated Star Trek series "Star Trek Lower Decks".

It's always a treat to meet the stars behind the various Star Trek series, but while my wife Connie, son Andrew and I are there, we'll be a part of Vulcon's Vendors' Market, selling real space collectibles and the famous Fisher Space Pens.

PLUS we'll have on display a model of the starship Enterprise NCC-1701B, along with a small diorama of the Apollo 11 landing site.

Come on out to visit us at the County Central High School in Vulcan this Friday afternoon (July 25) from 1-5 PM, and on Saturday the 26 from 9-5 and we all look forward to meeting you there.
