GEMINI PROGRAM

Gemini was NASA's second manned space program and was part of the push to land humans on the moon by the end of the 1960s. It was designed as a bridge between the Mercury and Apollo programs and successfully met its objectives of achieving manned space flights of up to 14 days, rendezvousing and docking of two vehicles while in orbit, and active control of re-entry and landing.
